Soft Rock 94.1 and Your Country 102.7 WXBM are getting the jump on this years’ “Communities Caring at Christmas” and we would love for you to help us!
“Communities Caring at Christmas” is a local charity that was started in 1979 (Food for Families) by Sue Straughn of WEAR TV 3. New clothes and toys are collected from businesses and fundraisers and are distributed to needy children and developmentally disabled adults. Soft Rock 94.1 and 102.7 WXBM joined the fundraising campaign 9 years ago with the addition of a Silent Auction. Last year over 6,000 children received new toys and clothes, and Soft Rock and WXBM collected over $11,000 from the Silent Auction!
We are asking for items/services to be auctioned at the “Communities Caring at Christmas” Silent Auction. Please keep in mind that our Silent Auction takes place in November; if you donate a gift certificate, the expiration date should reflect that. We would also like to know the value of the item/service so we can price it accordingly. Thank you for your consideration!
